Dhoni  hit more than 200* sixes in international cricket as a caption of Indian cricket team  and also in the world  after played 324 matches .After that Ricky ponting hit 171 sixes as a caption of Australia team in 324 matches.

MS Dhoni is the only player who remain as captain more than 50 matches in each format . He captained India in 60 matches in test , 199 matches in ODIs and 72 matches in T20Is format. He is only captain who won more matches in T20Is format.It is nearly 56.94% in overall T20 matches.

As we can see  Dhoni captaincy in ODIs format has created another record in Indian cricket .He is  only a captain of India who played as a captain in 199 matches and also won 55.28% of total ODIs .

Under Dhoni captaincy ,India posted successful Test series  victories home (England 2008) and away against New Zealand (2009)  and Sri Lanka (2009) .throughout  his first five years as a captain in test player ,India had lost only two  series abroad ,a record which helped them top the test ranking .
